Growing up we always had nopales growing around the house. Literally around the house. Apa grew them in that narrow walkway between the house and the side fence. After a few years, the nopales decided that the walkway was a luxury and decided to take it over last their own.

Getting down that walkway is nothing short of an Indiana Jones-level feat. I would not recommend going that way.
